There are no new cases in the Atlantic Bubble today; NB reports 2 recoveries and NS reports 1. This means there is 1 active case in PEI, 0 in NS, 1 in NB and 1 in NFLD, none known to be related to the Atlantic Bubble itself. In NS, 53/65 (82%) NS deaths are from Northwood and 57/65 (88%) are from long term care in general (11 different facilities have reported cases, none have an active case). Yesterday, 1166 tests were completed with 0 new cases reported.

New Brunswick - Residents of the Témiscouata Municipal Regional County in Quebec, along the northwestern New Brunswick border, will not be permitted to enter the province for day trips effective immediately. “With the rise of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region of Quebec, we must be prudent and keep doing our part to keep New Brunswick safe and slow the spread of COVID-19,” said Premier Blaine Higgs.

The NB state of emergency mandatory order was renewed today (for an additional 14 days) under the authority of the Emergency Measures Act.

The province of NS is renewing the state of emergency to protect the health and safety of Nova Scotians and ensure safety measures and other important actions can continue. The order will take effect at noon Sunday, Sept. 20 and extend to noon Sunday, Oct. 4, unless government terminates or extends it.
