There are 10 new cases in the Atlantic Bubble today, 4 in NFLD (1 was reported late yesterday), 5 in NB, 1 in NS; PEI reports 1 recovery, NB reports 2. Ontario numbers are updated. The first new case in NFLD is a male in the Western Health region between 40 and 49 years old, a close contact of a previous case in the area and has been isolating. All three remaining cases are associated with the outbreak at the Canadian Natural Resources Horizon Oil Sands site in Alberta. All 3 are back in NFLD isolating. All 5 NB cases are in zone 5 (Campbellton) and are isolating. The new case in NS is in the Central Zone and is related to travel outside Atlantic Canada. The individual has been self-isolating, as required. This means there are 2 active cases in PEI, 4 in NS, 92 in NB and 12 in NFLD, none known to be related to the Atlantic Bubble itself. In NS, 53/65 (82%) NS deaths are from Northwood and 57/65 (88%) are from long term care in general (11 different facilities have reported cases, none have an active case). Yesterday, 879 tests were completed with 1 new case reported.
