There are 2 new cases in the Atlantic Bubble today. Both are in PEI, the first was reported late yesterday, a PEI woman in her 80s that doesn't appear to be connected to the recent cluster. The second is a man in his 40s who is a healthcare worker in Charlottetown. The an traveled to PEI on Westjet flight 654 from Toronto on July 2. He initially tested negative, and worked 7 shifts from July 4-11. These 2 new cases are related as the 80 year old woman came into contact with the man during an ER visit on July 4. Contact tracing is underway in both cases. This means there are 7 active cases in PEI, 3 in NS, 1 in NB and 1 in NFLD, none known to be related to the Atlantic Bubble itself. In NS, 53/63 (84%) NS deaths are from Northwood and 57/63 (90%) are from long term care in general (11 different facilities have reported cases, none have an active case). NS is now at 37 days without a death. Yesterday, 401 tests were completed with 0 new cases reported.
